This role involves working on renewable energy project finance and tax credit transactions, handling complex transaction documents, and managing a variety of renewable energy due diligence matters. Duties

  • Draft and negotiate complex transaction documents, including credit agreements and tax equity documents.
  • Review project documents, manage subject-matter specialist reviews, and facilitate closing transactions.
  • Provide legal support in renewable energy project finance and tax credit transactions.
  • Conduct due diligence for renewable energy projects.
  • Work closely with clients and cross-functional teams to advance transaction goals.
  • Collaborate with senior associates and partners to provide strategic legal advice.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in renewable energy project finance and/or tax credit transactions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with complex transactional documents and manage various aspects of transactions.
  • Strong experience in renewable energy due diligence matters.
  • Ability to thrive in a challenging, client-driven environment.
  • Excellent academic credentials and strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Large law firm experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active member in good standing with the bar in the jurisdiction(s) where the candidate is admitted to practice.
  • Timely admission to the bar coinciding with the office of hire will be a condition of employment.

Skills

  • Proficiency in drafting and negotiating transaction documents, including credit agreements and tax equity documents.
  • Strong research and analytical skills for due diligence and project reviews.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
