The ideal candidate will manage a diverse caseload, provide expert legal counsel to clients, and actively participate in the development of immigration strategy alongside a team of experienced attorneys and legal assistants.

Job Overview:
The Immigration Attorney will provide comprehensive legal services for clients navigating the immigration process. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong client interaction skills, and the ability to manage a high volume of cases, including both detained and non-detained individuals in removal proceedings. The successful candidate will engage in both direct client representation and legal research, preparing a range of immigration applications, from family-based petitions to complex defense strategies.

Duties:

• Develop and present strategic immigration solutions to clients
• Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals
• Manage a varied caseload while ensuring effective and efficient case progression
• Conduct client intake sessions at detention centers and offer legal guidance
• Draft and review immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on immigration law updates
• Meet with clients to assess case details and provide actionable advice
• Prepare clients and witnesses for court hearings and USCIS testimony
• Prepare and submit legal briefs in support of immigration cases
• Provide legal analysis to help clients understand their options and possible case benefits

Requirements:

• A minimum of 1-4 years of experience in immigration law
• Proven ability to handle a high-volume caseload with attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong experience in removal defense, family-based immigration petitions, and USCIS applications
• Ability to strategize and collaborate within a team-oriented environment
• Preferred: Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Familiarity with case management software is a plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Active Bar membership
