A law firm seeks a Senior Associate to join its Traditional Labor and Employment team in Denver, CO. This role is ideal for an attorney with 7+ years of experience in traditional labor law, particularly in collective bargaining, contract administration, and grievance arbitration. The successful candidate will have a strong background in labor relations, including experience before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). This is an exciting opportunity to represent clients in complex labor issues, work independently and collaboratively, and manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in collective bargaining negotiations, contract administration, and grievance arbitration.
  • Defend and prosecute unfair labor practice charges before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).
  • Advise clients on labor law compliance, including issues related to union representation, collective bargaining, and labor disputes.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop strategic approaches for labor-related matters.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda, briefs, and other documents related to labor and employment law.
  • Provide counsel to clients on employment litigation matters, with a focus on labor law issues.
  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks and client deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships while delivering exceptional legal services.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in traditional labor law, including collective bargaining and grievance arbitration.
  • Experience representing clients in unfair labor practice charges before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) is preferred.
  • Background in employment litigation with some labor law experience is a plus.
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills, with a proven ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Admission to the Colorado State Bar or eligibility to be admitted.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Colorado State Bar or eligibility for admission.
