Job Duties:

  • Draft and prosecute patent applications in various technological fields.
  • Provide legal opinions on patentability, validity, and infringement.
  • Conduct intellectual property due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and licensing agreements.
  • Draft and negotiate IP-related agreements, including licensing and technology transfer agreements.
  • Assist in managing and protecting clients' intellectual property portfolios.
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry trends.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (BS) or PhD in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, immunology, organic chemistry, or protein engineering.
  • JD from an accredited law school with exceptional academic credentials.
  • Admission to the USPTO or eligibility to sit for the exam.
  • 2-3 years of experience in intellectual property law, focusing on patent drafting, prosecution, and opinions.
  • Background or experience in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
