Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal guidance to clients, specializing in Special Education Law
• Represent clients in impartial hearings and student suspension hearings
• Conduct legal research to support ongoing cases
• Assist in preparing and litigating cases in state and federal courts
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court
• Draft and review legal documents and correspondence
• Stay current on legal trends and updates related to Special Education Law

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Proven experience in Special Education Law
• Expertise in conducting impartial hearings
• Strong legal research capabilities
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Admission to the New York State Bar
• Experience representing schools, educational institutions, or local governments is a plus
