Job Overview: A reputable national law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Florham Park, NJ office. This role involves managing and supporting a caseload focused on personal injury defense. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, with at least 5 years of experience, and be comfortable handling cases in both state and federal courts. The Litigation Associate will work closely with senior attorneys to develop case strategies, conduct legal research, and represent clients throughout various stages of litigation.

Location:

Duties:

  • Manage and assist with personal injury defense cases, including conducting discovery, hearings, trials, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, and arbitrations.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop and adjust legal strategies for discovery, investigation, case management, and trial preparation.
  • Advise clients on legal rights, obligations, and options.
  • Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and apply this knowledge to cases.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
  • Perform administrative tasks associated with the practice of law, such as drafting and filing documents.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation, specifically in personal injury defense.
  • Experience in handling cases in both state and federal courts.
  • Knowledge of business law and an understanding of the operations and requirements of clients.
  • Proven ability to handle complex legal issues with creativity and strong analytical skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New Jersey Bar.
  • Admission to the New York Bar is a plus.
  • Member in good standing of the state bar(s).
