Job Overview:
A remote opportunity for an experienced Workers' Compensation Attorney specializing in the defense of workers' compensation claims. Location:

Duties:

  • Manage a full caseload of workers' compensation cases with varying complexity
  • Develop and execute litigation and budget plans, as needed
  • Conduct legal discovery
  • Attend court and other legal appearances
  • Litigate cases and represent clients in hearings and trials
  • Draft legal documents including motions, briefs, and correspondence
  • Prepare cases for trial
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and related parties
  • Negotiate settlements and manage client interactions throughout the case
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legal standards and client expectations

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in workers' compensation defense
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
  • Proven trial and litigation experience
  • Knowledge of California workers' compensation law

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in California
