A law firm seeks a highly motivated and experienced Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney to join its dynamic Real Estate Finance Practice Group in Denver, CO. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in commercial real estate finance transactions, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity. The firm offers a collaborative environment with immediate client contact and opportunities for growth within a national practice.

Duties:

  • Manage loan origination for structured commercial real estate finance transactions, including mezzanine loans, preferred equity, and asset management.
  • Oversee transactions from inception through closing, including post-closing activities.
  • Handle secondary market repurchase facilities and other exit strategies.
  • Provide guidance and advice to clients regarding real estate finance issues and transaction structures.
  • Work closely with colleagues and clients to execute complex finance deals.
  • Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to real estate finance transactions.
  • Collaborate with team members to support business development efforts and enhance client relationships.
  • Stay current with industry trends and legal developments affecting real estate finance.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in real estate finance, particularly in commercial real estate transactions.
  • Experience in mezzanine loans, preferred equity, loan origination, and asset management.
  • Proven ability to manage transactions from inception to closing, with attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle secondary market work and exit strategies, including repurchase facilities.
  • Strong communication and writing skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients.
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented with a passion for delivering high-quality legal services.
  • Willingness to support the growth of a national practice in real estate finance.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar admission in Colorado.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of real estate finance law, including commercial real estate transactions.
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to handle complex legal issues.
