Job Overview: A prominent law firm is seeking a senior-level attorney with a strong background in consumer marketing, advertising reviews, and financial technology (fin-tech) regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience across various sectors, including consumer financial regulations, health insurance telesales, credit and lending, privacy and data compliance, as well as FTC and CFPB rules enforcement. Additionally, the role requires experience in call center compliance, contract drafting, affiliate marketing, and the ability to liaise with clients and the litigation team. The successful candidate will be proactive, entrepreneurial, and able to effectively contribute to business development efforts.

Duties:

  • Provide legal guidance on consumer marketing and advertising reviews, including electronic media markets.
  • Advise clients on financial technology (fin-tech) regulatory compliance and call center (telesales) compliance.
  • Draft and review contracts, including those related to affiliate marketing and service-based offers.
  • Counsel clients on consumer financial regulations, including issues related to health insurance telesales, credit and lending, privacy, and data compliance.
  • Provide expertise on FTC and CFPB rules, regulations, and enforcement.
  • Interact with clients on a business development side, generating new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the litigation team to address regulatory issues and provide insights into the legal implications of various matters.
  • Offer guidance on high-volume consumer sales, particularly in regulated industries.
  • Maintain effective client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and success.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in consumer marketing and advertising, including electronic media.
  • Experience in fin-tech regulatory compliance, call center (telesales) compliance, and contract drafting.
  • Strong understanding of consumer financial regulations, including health insurance telesales, credit, lending, privacy, and data compliance.
  • Familiarity with FTC and CFPB rules, regulations, and enforcement actions.
  • Basic litigation experience is preferred to liaise with the litigation team.
  • Proven track record of client interaction, including business generation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills:

  • Expertise in advertising, fin-tech, and call center compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of consumer financial regulations and relevant enforcement actions.
