Job Overview

A law firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Corporate Associate Attorney to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), demonstrating proficiency in leading the drafting and negotiation of definitive and ancillary documents, managing deal processes, and client relationships. This role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, a high degree of maturity and business sense, and the ability to effectively manage internal and external client relationships. Experience in large regional, national, or international law firms is preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the drafting and negotiation of definitive and ancillary documents in M&A transactions.
  • Manage the M&A deal process from inception to closing.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as the primary point of contact.
  • Supervise and mentor junior associates, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Handle day-to-day demands on a variety of M&A-related matters.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to provide comprehensive legal services.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends impacting M&A activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, meetings, and other legal proceedings.
  • Provide strategic advice to clients on corporate governance and business transactions.

Requirements

  • 6-8 years of mergers and acquisitions experience.
  • Proven experience in leading the drafting and negotiation of definitive and ancillary documents.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High degree of maturity and business sense.
  • Ability to effectively manage internal and external client relationships.
  • Experience in large regional, national, or international law firms is preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Member in good standing of the State Bar of California.

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in the state of California.
