Job Overview: A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its dynamic legal team. This is a remote opportunity for a motivated attorney with strong litigation skills, particularly in federal and state court matters. The ideal candidate is well-versed in civil procedure, rules of evidence, and legal research, with a proven ability to manage cases independently and collaborate on complex legal matters. This position offers flexibility, allowing attorneys to take on cases at their preferred capacity while benefiting from a supportive team environment.
Duties:
Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and legal correspondence
Conduct in-depth legal research and case analysis
Represent clients at hearings, depositions, and other court proceedings
Develop case strategies in collaboration with legal team members
Draft and respond to discovery requests
Engage in negotiations and communicate effectively with opposing counsel
Prepare and conduct depositions, including witness preparation
Handle trial preparation, including evidentiary motions, exhibit lists, and pre-trial briefs
Requirements:
Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience in federal and state courts
Strong knowledge of Florida and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence
Demonstrated ability to argue substantive motions in court
Excellent legal research and persuasive writing skills
Ability to independently manage a caseload while collaborating with a team on larger cases
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active membership in The Florida Bar
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Exceptional verbal and written communication
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote setting
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in legal research platforms and case management tools
