Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm in San Francisco, CA, seeks an experienced employment attorney to provide legal counsel on international and domestic employment matters. This role involves advising multinational corporations on cross-border employment issues, conducting due diligence for corporate transactions, and drafting employment-related agreements. The attorney will collaborate with global legal teams and support clients with regulatory compliance, workforce reductions, and employee mobility concerns.

Duties:

  • Provide legal guidance on international and domestic employment matters.
  • Conduct due diligence and advise on employment aspects of corporate transactions.
  • Draft and negotiate employment contracts, retention agreements, and related documents.
  • Counsel clients on reductions in force, employee terminations, and restrictive covenants.
  • Offer strategic advice to emerging companies on various employment law issues.
  • Collaborate with legal teams across multiple jurisdictions to ensure compliance.
  • Stay updated on employment laws and regulations affecting global operations.
  • Manage multiple client projects in a fast-paced legal environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in employment counseling (domestic and/or international).
  • Strong background in advising multinational corporations on global employment matters.
  • Proven ability to handle cross-border employment law issues.
  • Experience with AmLaw 100 law firms preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in California.

  • Strong negotiation and contract drafting skills.
  • Ability to manage complex employment matters with strategic foresight.
