A rapidly growing law firm, specializing in personal injury and first-party property damage cases, is seeking a skilled Plaintiff Appellate Attorney to join its Boca Raton, FL office. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in appellate advocacy, excellent legal writing and research skills, and a strong commitment to representing plaintiffs' interests. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse appellate cases, including drafting briefs, presenting oral arguments, and providing trial support to attorneys.

Duties

• Handle all aspects of appellate cases, including drafting briefs, presenting oral arguments, and motions practice.
• Provide on-site legal trial support to attorneys during trials in progress.
• Review and collaborate on substantive legal motions and responses such as summary judgment and post-judgment matters.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analyze complex legal issues.
• Collaborate with trial attorneys to develop and implement litigation and appellate strategies.
• Draft clear, persuasive, and well-reasoned legal briefs and memoranda.
• Present oral arguments before state and federal appellate courts.
• Stay current on legal developments and changes in appellate law.
• Mentor junior attorneys and legal staff, providing guidance and support.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in appellate litigation, preferably on the plaintiff's side.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
• Excellent oral advocacy skills, with experience arguing cases before appellate courts.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Commitment to ethical legal practices and client advocacy.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership with the Florida Bar.
