A law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney or lateral Partner to join its Health Care Group, with a focus on long-term care. The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials, courtroom experience, and excellent writing skills. The role will require providing exceptional service to clients within the long-term care sector. The position is available in the firm's Louisville or Lexington, Kentucky offices and offers opportunities for professional growth and advancement.

Location:

Duties:

  • Represent clients in the long-term care sector, including advising on legal matters related to healthcare regulations, compliance, and litigation.
  • Provide legal counsel to healthcare organizations, ensuring they operate in compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Prepare and review legal documents, including contracts, policies, and procedures for healthcare providers.
  • Handle courtroom representation and settlement negotiations.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on developments in healthcare law.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members to develop legal strategies for clients.
  • Attend client meetings, hearings, and other related events as required.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in long-term care or healthcare law.
  • Strong academic credentials and courtroom experience.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work as a team player and collaborate effectively.
  • Sound judgment and high integrity.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
