A law firm seeks a detail-oriented and self-driven Compliance Attorney to join its team in Corpus Christi, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting audits, reviewing cases, and ensuring that firm policies and legal procedures are followed accurately and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with a background in personal injury law to develop their expertise in compliance, risk management, and litigation processes.

Duties:

  • Perform regular audits and case reviews for assigned litigation teams to ensure compliance with internal policies and legal standards.
  • Meet with assigned teams weekly to monitor progress, assess adherence to firm procedures, and address areas of non-compliance.
  • Evaluate and identify any gaps in compliance and work closely with teams to implement corrective measures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all legal processes are executed effectively, and deadlines are met.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations for improving case management and compliance practices within the firm.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure, Texas Rules of Evidence, and other relevant legal standards.
  • Document findings from audits and reviews, preparing reports for management.
  • Assist in training teams on compliance matters and best practices for case management.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active attorney license in the U.S. and in good standing.
  • 0-3 years of experience in personal injury law or litigation.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Texas Rules of Evidence.
  • Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to clearly present complex information.
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage relationships across departments.
  • Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and a good driving record.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active attorney license in the U.S. and in good standing.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Texas Rules of Evidence.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of case management and compliance software is a plus.
