A law firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Denver. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in legal research and writing, with expertise in drafting briefs, complaints, pretrial motions, memoranda, and discovery requests. This role requires superior analytical abilities, strong verbal and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A judicial clerkship and admission to the Colorado Bar are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft comprehensive briefs, complaints, pretrial motions, memoranda, and discovery requests.
  • Analyze complex legal issues and develop effective case strategies.
  • Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Participate in all phases of litigation, from inception through trial and appeal.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure cohesive and effective case management.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and trials as necessary.
  • Mentor junior associates and support staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in commercial litigation.
  • Proven track record in legal research and writing, including drafting briefs, complaints, pretrial motions, memoranda, and discovery requests.
  • Superior analytical abilities and strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Judicial clerkship experience is preferred.
  • Admission to the Colorado Bar is preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active and in good standing with the Colorado Bar (preferred).

Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and litigation software.
