Associate Attorney needed for Woodbury office

Location:

Duties:

• Manage own caseload with oversight from senior attorneys.
• Draft motions, pleadings, and responses to discovery.
• Conduct legal research and write detailed memorandums.
• Attend hearings, court conferences, and depositions.
• Participate in inspections and consultations with expert witnesses.
• Attend mediations and assist with trial preparation.
• Represent clients in court and at trial when necessary.

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of experience handling professional liability claims or similar areas of law.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be admitted to the New York Bar (or eligible for admission).

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• New York Bar Admission (Required).

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research and writing, including the use of Westlaw.
• Strong drafting skills, particularly in preparing motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.
• Ability to manage depositions, hearings, and trial preparation independently.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
