Job Overview

A law firm seeks a knowledgeable and experienced Associate Attorney to join its team in Newport Beach, CA. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in real estate law, civil litigation, and creditors’ rights. This role involves managing complex legal cases, representing institutional clients, and collaborating within a team-oriented environment to deliver exceptional legal solutions.

Duties

  • Manage civil litigation cases with a focus on real estate law and creditors’ rights.
  • Represent clients in court, including hearings and bench trials, while effectively navigating civil procedure.
  • Provide legal counsel on Title & Lien Priority, Title Claims, Foreclosures, Evictions, and regulatory matters such as TILA, RESPA, and FDCPA.
  • Conduct motion practice and loss mitigation strategies to achieve client goals.
  • Leverage case management tools to oversee and track legal matters efficiently.
  • Maintain consistent and proactive communication with clients to ensure a high level of service.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop effective legal strategies and solutions.

Requirements

  • An active member in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate law, civil litigation, or creditors’ rights.
  • Proficient in motion practice, including drafting and arguing motions.
  • Courtroom experience, including hearings and trials, with the ability to travel for court appearances as needed.
  • Strong dedication to client service and professional integrity.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active California Bar License (required).
  • Additional Bar admissions in other states are a plus.
