Duties:

  • Counsel clients on security incidents, data breaches, and federal and state data privacy laws.
  • Guide compliance with cybersecurity regulations and data privacy laws.
  • Assist with the coordination of forensic investigations and breach mitigation strategies.
  • Advise clients on the development of privacy and security frameworks.
  • Support technology contract negotiations with data privacy and cybersecurity considerations.
  • Represent clients in enforcement actions and data privacy litigation.
  • Draft critical legal motions, manage discovery processes, conduct depositions, and make court appearances.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience as an attorney with a focus on cybersecurity and data privacy.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state privacy laws and cybersecurity regulations.
  • Experience in forensic data breach investigations and breach response strategies.
  • Litigation experience related to data privacy, including drafting briefs and managing discovery.
  • Licensed to practice law in Washington, DC.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia.
