Job Overview:
A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its team in Brandon, FL, just a short distance from Tampa. As an integral member of the team, you will be responsible for managing discovery, drafting pleadings and contracts, and interacting with clients in high-stakes litigation.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in commercial and real property litigation cases from inception to resolution.
  • Draft and review pleadings, contracts, motions, and discovery responses.
  • Engage in oral advocacy during motion practice and client interactions.
  • Manage discovery processes, ensuring adherence to deadlines and legal requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues to foster collaboration.
  • Develop and implement case strategies, offering innovative legal solutions to complex issues.
  • Contribute to the firm’s long-term success through client development and case management.

Requirements:

  • An active member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial and/or real property litigation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience in drafting legal documents and oral advocacy.
  • Proven ability to manage discovery processes and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail with exceptional problem-solving capabilities.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work collaboratively and build strong client relationships.
  • Long-term career aspirations with a commitment to excelling in the legal field.
  • Experience in client development is valued but not required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Florida Bar License in good standing.
