Associate Attorney Construction Defect Litigation

A law firm seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney with experience in construction defect litigation on the defense side to join its Walnut Creek office. This role offers a hybrid work environment and the chance to engage with a variety of legal matters within a supportive team.

Duties:

• Manage all phases of construction litigation, including drafting and responding to discovery requests and initial pleadings.
• Prepare and argue motions in court to advocate for clients effectively.
• Conduct depositions, including taking and defending witness testimonies.
• Perform in-depth legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure comprehensive case management and client representation.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in construction defect litigation on the defense side.
• Strong research and writing skills, with the ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar.
