A law firm seeks a Transactional Franchise & Distribution Associate Attorney to join its practice in San Diego, CA. This role is ideal for an attorney with experience in U.S. franchising regulations and a strong background in drafting franchise agreements and handling regulatory filings. The position offers the chance to counsel a diverse clientele on complex business transactions within the franchise sector.

Duties:

  • Draft and review franchise agreements, franchise disclosure documents, and other regulatory filings.
  • Advise clients on intricate business transactions within the franchise and distribution fields.
  • Provide counsel to both domestic and international clients on franchise regulatory compliance and expansion.
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys on both transactional and litigation matters in franchise law.
  • Serve a wide range of clients, from emerging franchisors to established franchise corporations, including private equity firms and international businesses franchising into the U.S.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in transactional franchise law.
  • Proficiency in U.S. franchise regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Admission to practice law in California, or eligibility for admission via waiver.
  • Strong analytical, drafting, and writing skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar or eligibility for admission.
