A law firm in Denver, CO, is seeking an EE Patent Agent with a strong academic background and 1-2 years of experience. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Electrical Engineering, though exceptional candidates with backgrounds in Physics, Computer Science, or other Engineering disciplines will be considered. Experience in wireless communications is advantageous. Job Duties:

  • Draft and prosecute patent applications primarily in Electrical Engineering.
  • Conduct patentability and freedom-to-operate searches and analyses.
  • Assist in managing patent portfolios and developing IP strategies.
  • Collaborate with inventors and attorneys to prepare technical documents.
  • Communicate with clients regarding patent prosecution matters.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Patent Agent or in a similar role.
  • Admission to practice before the USPTO is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of patent laws and procedures.
  • Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
