Job Overview: A law firm specializing in financial restructuring seeks a Junior Financial Restructuring Special Situations Associate Attorney to join its New York City office. The ideal candidate will assist in handling complex finance transactions, focusing on secured and unsecured credit facilities, particular situation lending, and debt restructuring.

Job Duties:

• Assist senior attorneys in the negotiation and documentation of finance transactions involving particular situations of lending and debt restructuring.
• Conduct legal research and analysis related to financial restructuring matters.
• Draft and review legal documents, including loan agreements, security agreements, restructuring plans, and related documentation.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop strategies and solutions for financial restructuring.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience in a law firm environment, focusing on finance transactions and restructuring preferred.
• Admission to the New York State Bar and good standing.
• Strong academic credentials with a J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Experience working with secured and unsecured credit facilities, particular situation lending, and debt restructuring.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience in restructuring or financing in other special situations.
• Familiarity with bankruptcy law and proceedings.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
