Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in West Palm Beach, FL, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to manage a diverse caseload involving property damage losses ranging from thousands to millions of dollars. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in litigation, including drafting legal motions, preparing for court proceedings, and analyzing recovery opportunities for plaintiff claims. A valid Florida Bar license is required, and previous experience in insurance or subrogation law is highly desirable.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Handle all aspects of litigation, including intake, review, discovery, mediation, trial preparation, and case management.
• Manage a high volume of claims annually, with a focus on property damage losses.
• Draft and file legal motions, prepare legal briefs, and conduct research to support litigation strategies.
• Prepare for and attend court proceedings, depositions, and mediations.
• Analyze recovery opportunities and develop strategies to maximize outcomes for plaintiff claims.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in litigation.
• Review and manage case files, ensuring timely and accurate handling of legal documentation and deadlines.
• Collaborate with team members and provide guidance to junior attorneys and support staff as needed.
• Stay informed about developments in litigation practices, insurance law, and related legal areas.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in litigation, including drafting legal motions, preparing for court proceedings, and managing claims.
• Valid Florida Bar license.
• Previous experience in insurance or subrogation law is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to handle a high volume of cases and manage complex litigation tasks.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active Florida Bar license.
