A law firm seeks a full-time labor and employment attorney with at least three years of experience to join its dynamic team in Bethlehem, PA. The successful candidate will have a strong background in employment litigation and will be capable of working independently while providing effective legal counsel to clients. This position offers a hybrid work model, following an initial in-office period, and the opportunity to engage in meaningful labor and employment law matters.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in employment litigation, including claims related to workplace disputes, discrimination, and wrongful termination.
  • Provide legal counsel on labor matters, including collective bargaining negotiations and public-sector bargaining.
  • Conduct arbitrations, mediations, and fact-findings to resolve employment disputes.
  • Draft legal documents, including employment agreements, CBAs, and other related contracts.
  • Work with public bodies such as schools, police, and municipalities, as well as private employers.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop strategies for resolving employment disputes efficiently.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients and colleagues to ensure the successful resolution of cases.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in labor and employment law.
  • Strong background in employment litigation and dispute resolution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle a caseload effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant legal software.
  • Experience in public-sector bargaining (preferred but not required).
  • A self-starter with strong client management and resolution facilitation skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania (PA Bar License required).

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research, writing, and document drafting.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
