Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a skilled Senior Discovery Attorney with 5 to 7 years of experience to join its team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing all phases of discovery, from preservation to production, and supporting case teams and clients in litigation, compliance, and government investigations. The role involves collaborating with other attorneys and technologists to develop and manage tailored eDiscovery workflows with a focus on risk mitigation, cost control, and defensibility, while ensuring successful case outcomes.

Location:

  • Hartford, CT

Duties:

  • Advise and support case teams and clients throughout all phases of discovery, including preservation, filtering, and production.

  • Provide expertise on pre-litigation information governance, post-production deposition and witness preparation, and trial preparation as applicable.

  • Collaborate with attorneys, technologists, case teams, and clients to create and manage customized eDiscovery workflows and protocols.

  • Oversee and ensure the quality of work and deliverables for Discovery Attorneys, Project Attorneys, technologists, and service providers, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

  • Focus on risk mitigation, cost control, and defensibility in the eDiscovery process.

  • Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in eDiscovery laws, regulations, and industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • Licensed and in good standing in the state where practicing.

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in eDiscovery matters.

  • Proven ability to manage all aspects of discovery, including data preservation, filtering, and production.

  • Strong understanding of eDiscovery laws, regulations, and industry best practices.

  • Ability to communicate complex legal and technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience with corporate messaging, collaboration, and productivity tools, including Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.

  • Expertise in Relativity is strongly preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the state bar where practicing.

Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of eDiscovery tools and processes.

  • Expertise in Relativity and other eDiscovery platforms.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
