Duties

  • Defend clients against employment-related claims in litigation and disputes with agencies
  • Provide practical counsel on employment laws and regulations, keeping clients informed of any changes
  • Draft and review legal documents, including workplace policies, employment contracts, and agreements
  • Offer guidance on various employment issues, including training and compliance
  • Represent clients in matters related to discrimination, harassment, employment contract breaches, trade secrets, unfair competition, retaliation, wage and hour class actions, union relations, and more

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of post-JD experience, preferably with a focus on employment law
  • Prior experience in providing legal advice, litigation representation, and drafting employment-related documents
  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail with an entrepreneurial mindset and a collaborative approach to work

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from a top-tier law school with excellent academic performance
  • Judicial law clerk experience is a plus

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Colorado or willing to complete the process for waiving into the Colorado Bar
