Mid-level Associate Attorney

Job Overview

A growing law firm in Las Vegas is seeking a motivated mid-level Associate Attorney with a focus on insurance defense and civil litigation. This position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of complex cases, including general liability, products liability, and construction defect litigation, while collaborating with a team that values integrity, professionalism, and open communication. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years’ experience in insurance defense and be admitted to practice in Nevada state and federal courts.

Duties

• Manage a caseload of civil litigation and insurance defense matters, including general liability, products liability, premises liability, and professional liability
• Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, orders, and legal memoranda
• Conduct and respond to written discovery and draft dispositive motions
• Perform legal research and draft case evaluations and status reports for clients
• Prepare for and conduct depositions of parties, experts, and other witnesses
• Participate in trial preparation, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances up to and including trial
• Interact directly with clients, claim professionals, opposing counsel, and colleagues

Requirements

• Minimum of three years’ experience in insurance defense or civil litigation
• Familiarity with Nevada state and federal court procedures
• Ability to handle a variety of cases with professionalism and efficiency
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Nevada and admitted to federal district courts
