Job Overview:
A dynamic law firm is seeking an experienced and dedicated Associate Attorney to join its immigration law practice. The ideal candidate will be passionate about advocating for immigrant rights and providing exceptional legal representation in a wide range of immigration matters, including non-immigrant visas, humanitarian visas, consular processing, waivers, and federal litigation. This position involves client representation in USCIS interviews, EOIR court hearings, and appellate work. The firm is looking for a motivated individual with strong legal skills who is committed to navigating complex immigration processes with professionalism and integrity.

Location:

  • Vista, CA 

Duties:

  • Draft, review, and finalize legal documents such as briefs, Requests for Evidence (RFEs), motions, and USCIS applications.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare for hearings, EOIR court proceedings, and other legal appearances.
  • Advise clients on legal strategies and solutions tailored to their specific immigration cases.
  • Manage client communications through email, phone, and in-person interactions.
  • Coordinate with associates, team members, and clients to ensure timely and efficient case management.
  • Perform pre-sale consultations to assess case eligibility and address client qualification questions.
  • Ensure compliance with case management systems, internal processes, and data protection standards.
  • Participate in training programs and contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance team efficiency.
  • Stay updated on changes in immigration law and procedures to ensure effective case strategies.
  • Take on additional tasks as needed to support the firm’s goals and client outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar license in good standing from any U.S. state or Puerto Rico.
  • Fluent in Spanish (preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills to assess and address complex legal issues.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and related software.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and maintains confidentiality in all interactions.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar license from any U.S. state or Puerto Rico.

Skills:

  • Expertise in immigration law, including visas, consular processing, waivers, and federal litigation.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
