Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handle litigation matters involving personal injury defense and trucking/transportation cases.
  • Provide timely and efficient client service, addressing legal issues with professionalism and expertise.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memorandums on complex legal issues.
  • Attend hearings, court conferences, and depositions.
  • Explain complex legal principles to clients and non-experts in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with team members and contribute to a collegial work environment.
  • Ensure deadlines are met and cases are handled in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice and in good standing in the State of Texas.
  • 3+ years of civil litigation experience, with a preference for personal injury defense and transportation litigation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain complex legal principles in a succinct and understandable manner.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented setting.
  • Collegial and collaborative attitude with a “client first” mindset.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas (required).
