Job Overview

A prestigious law firm based in Miami, FL, is seeking an experienced Litigation Partner to manage and lead complex litigation cases across various legal areas. This role involves overseeing legal staff, providing strategic legal counsel to clients, and handling high-profile cases with a focus on commercial litigation, real estate, community associations, and construction law. Candidates with significant trial experience or a strong book of commercial litigation business are preferred.

Duties

  • Oversee complex litigation cases from inception through trial or settlement
  • Lead and mentor a team of attorneys and legal professionals
  • Provide expert legal advice and develop case strategies
  • Represent clients in state and federal courts, particularly in Federal Court and/or Complex Business Division
  • Manage a significant caseload independently while maintaining attention to detail
  • Conduct thorough research and draft legal documents
  • Advocate and negotiate effectively on behalf of clients
  • Maintain and develop a book of business in commercial litigation
  • Coordinate with clients to ensure their legal goals are achieved

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in managing litigation cases, preferably in commercial, real estate, or construction law
  • Strong trial experience and proven track record of success in court, particularly in federal cases
  • Book of business in commercial litigation is highly desired
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team leader
  • Strong negotiation, research, and communication skills
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in Florida

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Florida

Skills

  • Deep knowledge of civil litigation procedures and laws
  • Strong analytical, research, and technological capabilities
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Negotiation and advocacy skills
