Job Overview:
An established legal recruiting firm is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Real Estate Finance Attorney to join a distinguished law firm. This position is hybrid, with the main office located in New York, NY, offering flexibility for some remote work. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing a variety of real estate financing transactions, conducting thorough legal research, drafting and negotiating complex agreements, and ensuring due diligence procedures are followed.

Duties:

  • Perform legal research related to real estate and finance matters
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, including loan and organizational documents
  • Manage real estate transactions from inception to closing
  • Conduct due diligence to ensure compliance with legal standards
  • Collaborate with clients and opposing counsel to finalize terms of agreements
  • Assist in the execution of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac lending programs for multifamily properties

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate finance law
  • Strong knowledge of real estate leases and lending processes
  • Proficiency in conducting due diligence in real estate transactions
  • Familiarity with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac lending programs

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in New York or eligibility for reciprocity

Skills:

  • Exceptional analytical and legal research abilities
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
