Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, development, and leasing for office, retail, and industrial properties.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate real estate transaction documents such as purchase and sale agreements, leases, and financing agreements.
  • Handle all aspects of real estate due diligence, including title examinations, survey reviews, and other necessary investigations.
  • Oversee and manage closings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Provide strategic legal advice on complex real estate matters and transactions.
  • Collaborate with clients, title companies, surveyors, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transaction processes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of commercial real estate law and market trends.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys and team members to develop and implement effective legal strategies.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and time-management skills, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions, including handling acquisitions, dispositions, development, and leasing.
  • Experience with financing is a plus.
  • Superior drafting skills and a deep understanding of commercial real estate law and closing mechanics.
  • Proven ability to handle closings, title examinations, surveys, and other due diligence tasks.
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar is required.
