Associate Attorney needed for Las Vegas office

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Civil Trial and Litigation Defense practice in Las Vegas, NV. The ideal candidate will have varying levels of experience in evaluating case files, motion practice, attending and arguing at court hearings, conducting depositions, defending client depositions, arbitration, mediation, and trial preparation and appearance. Strong academic credentials, excellent references, solid writing skills, and active licensure in NV are essential for this role.

Duties:

• Evaluate case files and develop legal strategies.
• Engage in motion practice, including drafting and arguing motions.
• Attend and represent clients at court hearings.
• Conduct depositions of witnesses and experts.
• Defend client depositions with skill and professionalism.
• Engage in arbitration and mediation proceedings.
• Prepare thoroughly for trial, including witness preparation and evidence gathering.
• Appear in court for trial proceedings, presenting cases effectively.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership and good standing with the State Bar of Nevada.
• Varying levels of experience in civil trial and litigation defense.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
