Job Overview:

A leading law firm is seeking a Restructuring Associate with 1-3 years of experience, including in-court restructurings. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a collaborative team of attorneys, gaining direct client exposure and assuming significant responsibility. The ideal candidate must have strong drafting skills, superior academic credentials, and excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.

Location:

  • Wilmington, DE

Duties:

  • Work on financial restructurings, business reorganizations, acquisitions, and liquidations.

  • Provide legal counsel to private and public companies, boards of directors, creditors, lenders, investors, and acquirers.

  • Advise distressed companies on insolvency, restructuring strategies, and corporate governance.

  • Draft legal documents and assist in court proceedings related to restructuring cases.

  • Collaborate with experienced attorneys and receive ongoing mentorship and training.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in restructuring law, including in-court proceedings.

  • Strong drafting skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in good standing in the state of practice.

Skills:

  • Expertise in restructuring strategies, financial recapitalizations, and business reorganizations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple complex cases simultaneously.

  • Effective client communication and negotiation skills.
