Duties

  • Draft legal documents and perform legal research
  • Provide legal advice and collaborate with paralegals to assist clients
  • Attend court hearings, trials, and manage case files
  • Guide and mentor assigned paralegals, aligning with firm values: Strength, Wisdom, Objectivity, Reputation, and Dependability
  • Use empathy, negotiation skills, and legal expertise to resolve complex family issues
  • Collaborate with team members to improve case strategies and personal growth
  • Manage case files efficiently, ensuring timely completion and high-quality work
  • Maintain communication with clients throughout the case process

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in family law
  • Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in learning and applying new technology
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience handling family law cases, particularly within the Gwinnett County court system

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active membership in the State Bar of Georgia (or ability to obtain)

Skills

  • Expertise in family law (divorce, child custody, support, etc.)
  • Proficiency in legal research, writing, and case management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
