This position involves working within a dynamic legal team specializing in the Finance Practice Group and the Energy Sector. The candidate will be engaged in high-profile, complex transactions with a focus on renewable energy and tax credit matters.

Duties:

  • Assist in renewable energy project finance and tax credit transactions.
  • Draft and negotiate complex transaction documents, including credit agreements and tax equity documents.
  • Conduct renewable energy due diligence, review project documents, and manage subject-matter specialists.
  • Oversee and close large-scale energy transactions.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to meet their evolving legal and strategic needs.
  • Support the long-term growth and strategic objectives of the Energy Sector.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of renewable energy transactional experience.
  • Expertise in project finance, tax credit transactions, and renewable energy due diligence.
  • Strong background in drafting and negotiating complex legal documents.
  • Ability to handle intricate client-driven matters in challenging environments.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be an active member in good standing with the DC Bar.

Skills:

  • Exceptional writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to succeed in demanding legal environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and adept at managing multiple aspects of transactions.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a larger team.
  • Large law firm experience is preferred but not required.
