Duties

• Manage a diverse caseload involving civil litigation, general liability, and professional malpractice matters
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and correspondence
• Conduct legal research and case analysis to develop defense strategies tailored to each client’s needs
• Participate in court proceedings, including hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials (both in-person and virtually as needed)
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal teams to ensure comprehensive case preparation
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to advance case progress and resolve issues
• Track case timelines, deadlines, and filing requirements to ensure timely action on all legal matters

Requirements

• Up to 2 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense, general liability, or civil litigation
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
• Ability to independently manage a caseload with competing priorities and deadlines
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Comfortable appearing in court and representing clients in hearings, trials, and other proceedings
• Proficiency with legal software, case management tools, and electronic filing systems

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in California and/or Nevada (good standing required)
