A growing law firm is seeking a Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join its new South Bend, Indiana office, which is set to open in Summer 2024. Location:

Duties:

  • Manage personal injury litigation cases from start to finish
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
  • Represent clients in court, including depositions, hearings, and trials
  • Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients throughout the litigation process
  • Collaborate with team members to develop case strategies
  • Handle case settlements and negotiate on behalf of clients
  • Ensure adherence to deadlines and all court requirements

Requirements:

  • 0-5 years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury law
  • Exceptional legal writing skills
  • Strong research and analytical abilities
  • Experience with court procedures, depositions, and litigation strategy
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced workload and multiple cases simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and client management skills
  • Motivated and passionate about making a difference in clients' lives

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Indiana State Bar (or eligibility to practice in Indiana)

Skills:

  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
