Duties

• Perform comprehensive legal research using tools such as Westlaw.
• Draft a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Represent clients in legal proceedings, hearings, and negotiations.
• Assist senior attorneys with complex legal cases, contributing to the development of case strategies.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping of all case progress and client interactions.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Passed the New York State Bar.
• Demonstrated ability to manage legal research projects and draft legal documents.
• Experience in personal injury law or maritime law is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in articulating complex legal ideas.
• Proficiency in legal research databases, especially Westlaw.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
