Job Title: Mid/Senior Executive Compensation Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm in Boston, MA is seeking a mid-level or senior associate attorney with 4+ years of experience to join their Executive Compensation and ERISA practice. The ideal candidate will have a background in advising public and private companies on tax and securities law issues related to equity-based compensation plans and other incentive arrangements. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to complex transactions, work in collaborative teams, and manage parts of transactions independently.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel on tax and securities law matters regarding equity-based compensation and incentive plans
  • Represent public and private companies in various executive compensation matters
  • Manage components of transactional work independently or in collaboration with a legal team
  • Collaborate with clients and team members to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Stay informed on relevant changes in executive compensation and employee benefits law
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documentation related to compensation plans

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in executive compensation, ERISA, or related areas
  • Experience representing public and private companies on tax and securities law matters
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team on complex legal transactions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in relevant jurisdiction, with a preference for Massachusetts

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research, drafting, and analytical skills
  • Strong client management and communication abilities
  • Capacity to handle multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to navigate complex legal and regulatory issues
  • Knowledge of employee benefits or general employment law (a plus)
