Job Overview:
A law firm seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to manage personal injury cases at its Modesto office. This role is ideal for legal professionals passionate about client advocacy and case management. This role does not involve litigation but requires strong analytical and organizational skills to oversee case progress and ensure optimal client outcomes.

Duties:

  • Oversee personal injury cases, ensuring clients receive appropriate medical care and all recovery avenues are explored.

  • Provide guidance to case managers, addressing inquiries and ensuring case progression toward the demand phase.

  • Conduct regular client communication, maintaining contact every 30-90 days.

  • Assess case value, identify potential defendants, and determine necessary evidence preservation, expert consultations, or investigator involvement.

  • Develop case strategies based on factual circumstances.

  • Review and refine demand packages, including medical record summaries and other supporting documents.

  • Draft, review, and edit legal documents such as complaints, case management conference statements, and minors’ compromise petitions.

  • Represent clients in court hearings, including case management conferences and minors’ compromise hearings.

  • Supervise and mentor team members as needed.

Requirements:

  • Strong legal research, writing, and communication abilities.

  • Knowledge of tort law and personal injury procedures.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with excellent organizational skills.

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.

  • Bilingual Spanish proficiency is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar license in good standing (Required).

Skills:

  • Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficiency in case management software and legal documentation.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a legal team.

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases effectively.
