Plaintiff-Side Litigation Associate

Job Overview:
A plaintiff-side law firm based in Woodland Hills, CA is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its growing team. This position focuses on employment and personal injury litigation, offering the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all stages of the litigation process. The role is suited for an attorney with 1–3 years of litigation experience who is looking to deepen their courtroom and advocacy skills while working in a supportive environment. A hybrid work arrangement is available following onboarding and training.

Location:

• Woodland Hills, CA

Duties:

• Conduct client and witness interviews and gather relevant case information

• Draft complaints, pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence

• Propound and respond to written discovery

• Defend and take depositions under supervision

• Manage an active caseload with mentorship and oversight from senior attorneys

• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation

• Sit second-chair in arbitrations and jury trials as experience allows

Requirements:

• 1–3 years of litigation experience (employment or personal injury litigation preferred)

• Comfortable managing multiple active files

• Strong legal writing and research skills

• Excellent organizational and communication abilities

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Willingness to attend mediations, depositions, and court appearances

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the state of California

Skills:

• Strong litigation fundamentals (discovery, pleadings, depositions)

• Client-facing communication and counseling

• Time management and multitasking under deadlines

• Legal research and brief writing proficiency

• Courtroom presence and preparation

• Familiarity with legal case management systems
