The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing bankruptcy cases, including reviewing pleadings, attending hearings, and communicating with clients and stakeholders. A Virginia Bar license is required.Duties:Review and prepare bankruptcy pleadings and claims for filing in relevant jurisdictions.Manage routine bankruptcy matters from inception to resolution.Monitor electronic bankruptcy filings (ECFs) to ensure compliance and accuracy.Attend bankruptcy hearings regularly and represent clients effectively.Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and Trustees to provide updates and resolve issues.Conduct legal research and stay informed on changes in bankruptcy law and procedures.Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and staff on bankruptcy matters.Draft and review legal documents, including motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.Requirements:7+ years of experience practicing bankruptcy law.Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Virginia Bar license is required.Experience managing routine bankruptcy cases and attending hearings.Proficiency in monitoring and managing electronic bankruptcy filings (ECFs).Intermediate to advanced-level computer and general office skills.Preferred Skills:Excellent oral and written communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.Experience with client and stakeholder management in bankruptcy cases.Knowledge of the latest developments in bankruptcy law.Certifications:Admission to the Virginia Bar is required.
