Job Overview:
A dynamic and growing financial services law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join its Florida litigation team. This attorney will handle mortgage foreclosures and related litigated matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation with a focus on mortgage-related cases and a proven ability to manage cases from start to finish. The role requires flexibility to attend hearings, mediations, and trials both remotely and in person. Strong organizational, advocacy, and courtroom skills are essential for success.

Location:

  • Boca Raton, FL

Duties:

  • Attend and represent clients in mediations, depositions, hearings, and trials (both remote and in person)
  • Manage a portfolio of litigated mortgage loans in foreclosure
  • Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, and related legal documents
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while managing sensitive client matters
  • Handle litigation matters through all stages, from filing through resolution
  • Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and team members throughout litigation process

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of litigation experience, specifically in mortgage foreclosure proceedings
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload of foreclosure-related matters
  • Strong oral advocacy skills with courtroom experience
  • Experience attending and managing hearings, mediations, and trials
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work remotely as well as travel for in-person hearings, primarily in central Florida and the Panhandle

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in Florida
