Associate Attorney with experience in family law

A law firm in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney with experience in family law to join their team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in legal research and writing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare motions, affidavits, legal arguments, testimony, and trial briefs for family law cases.
• Conduct thorough preparations for hearings, including witness preparation and evidence gathering.
• Consult with clients to strategize on case approaches and provide legal advice.
• Communicate effectively with opposing parties, courts, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research to identify and apply relevant case law, statutes, and judicial decisions.
• Investigate facts surrounding cases through interviews, document review, and research.
• Review and stay updated on new laws, regulations, and legal trends affecting family law.
• Draft substantive correspondence and legal documents with precision and clarity.
• Review and approve documents prepared by paralegals to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Minnesota State Bar in good standing.
• 2+ years of experience practicing family law, with knowledge of Minnesota procedural rules and court processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in legal work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Technologically savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
