Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively utilize the firm’s case management and reporting software to manage assigned matters.
  • Represent clients in court appearances and handle all related travel requirements.
  • Provide expert legal advice on consumer credit collections and ensure compliance with state laws in the licensed jurisdiction and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
  • Maintain a high level of client care and proactive communication.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a team-oriented work environment.
  • Draft and review legal documents, motions, and pleadings related to creditor's rights.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to creditor’s rights and consumer collections.

Requirements

  • Member in good standing of CA State Bar.
  • Multi-state licensure is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in creditor's rights and consumer credit collections.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of state laws regarding consumer collections and FDCPA.
  • Ability to travel as needed for court appearances and client meetings.

Education and Certifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in CA (additional state licenses preferred).
