Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support complex litigation matters.
  • Assist in managing various aspects of business and tort litigation cases with appropriate supervision.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain and foster existing client relationships through excellent service and responsive communication.
  • Contribute to the firm's efforts to generate new client relationships through research, presentations, and written work.
  • Prepare deposition summaries and document indices as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all procedural and formatting requirements, including appellate briefs and citations.
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys to deliver high-quality legal services promptly.
  • Participate in continuing legal education and professional development to stay current with legal trends.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience practicing law, particularly in business or tort litigation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex legal matters with minimal supervision.
  • Strong research, writing, and legal drafting skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional attitude and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays, as needed.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • An active member in good standing of the state bar.

Skills:

  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency with PDF applications and e-discovery tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of appellate brief rules and citation preparation.
