Business Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a skilled Business Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Indianapolis, IN. The ideal candidate will provide legal representation and counsel to clients in various business litigation matters, including drafting legal documents, conducting research, and representing clients in court proceedings and negotiations.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex business litigation issues.
• Draft and prepare various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and other dispute resolution proceedings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and trial preparation.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and stakeholders.
• Manage and prioritize workload effectively to meet deadlines and client expectations.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Indiana and in good standing.
• 2-6 years of relevant experience in civil litigation, particularly in business-related disputes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in drafting and negotiating contracts.
• Knowledge of relevant procedural rules and court practices.
• Previous experience in handling complex commercial litigation cases.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and software.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Indiana.
